THE PROBLEM?

What most plants are doing today

On most Indian production floors, metal chips, swarf, sludge, sawdust, and agro-residue simply pile up, quietly draining money through handling and disposal costs as well as lost material value.

Filling drums & skips

Containers fill up fast and create handling, safety, and disposal costs.

Sold at a Subsidy

Loose scrap is often sold at a lower price due to its bulk volume and handling costs

Contaminated with coolant

Coolant makes waste harder to sell and more expensive to dispose of.

Eating floor space

Waste occupies valuable floor space that could be used productively.

REFRAME THE PROBLEM

This is not a waste problem.
It is revenue wasted.

THE SOLUTION

What briquetting does

A RUF briquetting press takes loose production waste and compresses it using high hydraulic pressure into dense, uniform briquettes, typically at a 10:1 volume reduction ratio.

Loose waste Step 01

Loose waste

Chips, swarf, sludge, sawdust, and agro-residue from your floor.

RUF hydraulic press Step 02

RUF hydraulic press

High-pressure compression into uniform blocks.

Dense briquette and revenue Step 03

Dense briquette + revenue

Uniform, stackable, and sellable at a premium.

Scrap premium

Loose chips and waste become dense briquettes that command a significant scrap premium and higher melting value for metal.

Coolant recovered

With metal and rundown swarf briquetting, costly coolant and cutting fluid are extracted and recovered for reuse.

Up to 10:1 less volume

Frees floor space and cuts transport and storage cost dramatically.

Liability → asset

Sludge and swarf become stable, manageable material, not a disposal liability.

Marketable fuel

Agricultural residue becomes a marketable fuel product or energy source.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT

The machine pays for itself, typically within months of installation.

Through reduced disposal costs, coolant recovery, and higher resale values, the economics compound from day one.

FAQ

Questions, answered

The simplest way is a free material test. Send us a sample and we’ll run it through the press and report back with briquette quality, throughput, and projected ROI. No commitment required.

Typically 50-100kg depending on material type. Contact us and we’ll advise on your specific waste stream.

RUF machines are engineered for a service life exceeding 30 years. The oldest machines in operation in Europe are approaching this milestone. With genuine RUF spare parts and scheduled maintenance, longevity is a defining feature of the technology.

This varies by material type, volume, and current disposal/resale arrangements. Metal chip applications in India have reported payback periods of 6–18 months. We calculate a projected ROI as part of every material test report.

Yes. ecoSilun Solutions supplies genuine RUF spare parts direct to Indian plants and coordinates technical service in cooperation with RUF Germany.

The use depends on the material. For example wood and biomass briquettes can be used as energy source, reused in mills as biomass and sold as biofuel. Metal briquettes are used widely for remelting in foundries and their high density means high melting yield. Sludge briquettes are easier to dispose of and can be disposed of as non toxic waste and the coolant extracted during the process can be filtered and reused.

All RUF machines are built in-house in Germany at the RUF headquarters and can typically take around 16-22 weeks from purchase order and receipt of advance payment.

RUF machines are the world leaders in the briquetting industry, manufactured in house and built for heavy-duty applications. They are constructed of high-grade steel and use premium components. RUF machines are built to last for performance and have been running for decades with existing customers, with top-quality post-sales service and customer satisfaction.

Yes. Every RUF machine supplied through ecoSilun Solutions is professionally installed and commissioned. Full operator training is included.
